An Extended forecast from Pakistan Weather Portal (PWP)
(April 8 – April 11)
Background
A moderate intensity western disturbance has entered northern eastern Balochistan province of Pakistan as of April 8. It is fairly large in size therefore southern parts of Pakistan are also under its grip. It will spread to upper parts of Pakistan on April 9 and will leave Pakistan on April 11, where it will start to enter India.
Which areas will get rain?
Upper and central parts of Pakistan that is Punjab, Khyber, Upper Sindh, North eastern Balochistan, Gilgit, FATA and Azad Kashmir including Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, Quetta, Peshawar, Larkana, Nawabshah will receive isolated to scattered moderate rainfall from tonight with strong winds. Hailstorms could occur in the plains of Punjab and Khyber during this period, temperatures will remain below-normal for the month of April in these areas excluding Upper Sindh where temperatures will hover around 40°C.
Which areas will remain dry?
Lower & Coastal Sindh and coastal Balochistan will remain dry but cloudy weather could occur during this period. Karachi will get to see some clouds with fast winds.
Afterwards
Sunny and dry weather will remain in most parts of the country for two days.
(April 15 – April 18)
Another western disturbance could affect Pakistan from April 14 to April 17. It could follow similar path as the previous WD.Karachi may get drizzle during the second last week of April, but keep in mind that weather changes quickly.
